Operations Project Engineer
WellGear is the industry leading supplier of Hydraulic Workover, Plug & Abandonment and snubbing units and services. We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our fast-growing and dynamic business. The successful candidate will perform a vital role in the growth of a motivated close-knit team.
Role
The Operations Project Engineer is responsible for managing HWO offshore operations from planning through to completion of the offshore operation, including installing, operating and maintaining equipment. Key responsibilities include developing project plans, managing cross-functional teams, liaising with vendors, overseeing budget and resources, and ensuring all equipment and personnel performs safely and efficiently.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Performing Offshore site surveys.
- Setting up the project in terms of equipment, people, and operation.
- Working alongside client and advising on operations.
- Overseeing yard rig ups.
- Procuring third party equipment.
- Use of online project ERP management system (Equipment Management System).
- Offshore trips to gain experience.
- Travel.
Education, Training and Experience:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree is preferred but not essential.
- Would suit a candidate that has previous experience of managing offshore Well Operations.
- High level attention to detail.
- Takes pride in their work.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Self-motivated.
- Strong team player.
- Knowledge of any of the following: Hydraulic Workover, Snubbing, Coil Tubing, Pumping or Drilling Operations.
- Can do attitude.
- Mechanical/Electrical knowledge would be advantageous.
